Christmas is the best time of year. It's a great time to experience all of the gorgeous, creative decorations and light displays around Texas. Lights, smells and holiday favorites that overloaded our senses just never get old. Here are a few of our favorites to get you in the holiday spirit!
1. Zilker Park; Trail Of Lights
This park feature over 2 Million twinkling lights & colorful displays. You can walk the mile-long trail from Dec 10-23 with tickets on sale now.
2. Santa's Wonderland
College Station, TX
College Station is a small town that’s less than a two hour drive from both Austin and Houston. It’s about a three hour drive from San Antonio. It might be a small college town but they do Christmas lights BIG and it is worth the drive.
College Station features the “largest Christmas Attraction in Texas,” Santa’s Wonderland includes horse-drawn carriage and hay rides through the lights. Santa’s Wonderland has great hours this season, starting November 8 and running through December 30th. No Snow in Texas? Santa’s Wonderland has real snow!
3. Six Flags Over Texas
Near Arlington, Tx
Six Flags Over Texas (near Arlington) offers Holiday in the Park, which features Christmas lights plus many other holiday activities from November 23 through January 5.
4. Festival of Lights
Located in Galveston, TX, Moody Gardens features an abundance of bright lights. colorful tunnels, bright displays and a great time for all. Tickets are up for grabs now!
5. San Antonio River Walk
The San Antonio River Walk transforms for the holidays with more than 100,000 lights. Look for lighted floats with celebrities, bands and costumed participants, and enjoy Holiday Boat Caroling during December evenings. Enjoy the Christmas lights on the Riverwalk through January 13.
