The Local Market at Lake Walk 

Bringing a neighborhood artisan market to the community; Because life is in the details. The Local is a shopping experience, where local and regional makers and farmers come together in a curated place to showcase and sell their  products to the community. #TheLocalTX

Their goal is to host a weekly market featuring a unique mix of aesthetically pleasing products from local foods to local handmade artisan products.

7D Ranch Texas 1st Annual Pumpkin Patch

The 7D Ranch Texas 1st Annual Pumpkin Patch Event is a family-friendly event where children of all ages can enjoy. Multiple activities including Live Music and Cowboy Gun Fight Shows are ongoing throughout the day, allowing families to tailor their experience at the ranch.  We have hundreds of pumpkins of all sizes that will be available for purchase.


  • Open every Saturday and Sunday From October 21st – November 12th 2017.
  • Saturdays 4 p.m.-10 p.m.    Sundays Noon – 6 p.m.



  • 2 and under – FREE
  • 3 to 12 – $7
  • 13 and up – $15

Owl-O-Ween Festival

Join the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History for an Owl-O-Ween Festival for all ages from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20th! Admission to Owl-O-Ween is free; carnival games cost one or more tickets, and can be purchased for a dollar each at the Museum.

The spook-tacular event includes educational booths, face painting, crafts, carnival games, (including Treat Walk, and Monster Fishing) and live Halloween animals! Come visit with the Reptile Hospice & Sanctuary, The Texas A&M Biology Department, & Urban Interface & enjoy displays featuring iconic Halloween animals. Festival participants will be entertained by “Scarlet”, a red Argentine Tegu lizard, monitors, pythons, and more from the Reptile Sanctuary and owls from The Urban Interface.

Older children can have a hoot of a time with the haunted woods tour. Haunted forest tours will be led in the Carter Creek Nature Trail by the Texas A&M Zoological Society. A haunted tunnel and other activities for younger audiences will also be available inside.

All ages are invited to come in costume for a chance to win trophies in the following categories: scariest; cutest; most unique; best child; best adult; and best group. Awards will be announced at 7 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to view museum exhibits, and participate in all the fun while learning about Halloween animals and Halloween safety.

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is open to visitors Tuesday-Saturday

Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo 2017 - partnering with Texas craftsman, raising money for Hurricane Harvey relief. October 20 -22, 2017, starting at 4 pm.  Mutton Bustin, Carnival, Livestock, Concerts, Volunteers!  Have a future cowboy or cowgirl in your house?
