Washington County is home to vibrant arts, cultural and antique communities. Located on the Brazos River, is the picturesque state historical site, Washington-on-the-Brazos -- the birthplace of Texas. The county has a population of 36,000 and is located right between Houston and Austin. It has beautiful rolling hills and pastures full of bluebonnets in the spring. It's home to the popular Blue Bell Creamery, Antique Rose Emporium, the Burton Cotton Gin Museum and Blinn College.
